Angry Bride
One of the tackiest things I've ever seen was an unhappy bride. She was marching (stomping) around the reception in her gorgeous dress, makeup, hair, jewelry, etc. turning on those tiny fake tea light candles at every single table. This was on an amazing glass boat sailing around Washington, DC. Who knows where her brand new husband or any of her loved ones were at the time. She was so pissed off that the staff had forgotten to turn the little lights on. She was cursing and complaining as she stomped around turning them on. It was really unattractive and a total waste of energy in my opinion

Porta-Potty
Last October one of [my husband’s] friends got married and they did kind of a "redneck" wedding with camo everywhere—the guys in camo vests, the bride climbing into a deer stand right after the ceremony to [take] pics, etc. But it was pretty tame and not as bad as I though it was going to be when I first heard about it.

The tacky part: They had a [portable toilet] that looked like an outhouse with the moon on the door. (Haven't gotten to the tacky part yet.) They loaded the [portable toilet] that people had been using all day into the back of the pickup [truck] that the bride and groom used to drive away at the end of the reception... Gross.

My aunt wore an atrocious outfit to my sister's wedding. It was an afternoon wedding in a quiet little church with a cake and punch reception. Too Casual

Well, one of the tackiest things, I have seen unfortunately happened at my own wedding and I am still upset about it. I had an elegant wedding in Cancun on a terrace overlooking the ocean. It's not a beach wedding—fancy black-tie attire wasn't necessary but most wore nice dresses, skirts, slacks, and suits... except for my friend's boyfriend who not only showed up to my ceremony late, but wore flip-flops, a T-shirt and shorts. I was so flabbergasted, and I could tell that everyone else was shocked too. I was too busy and happy that day to care and get really upset over it, but since then, every time I see him in my wedding pictures, I feel the urge to slap him.

Unfinished Bridesmaids Dresses
My cousin's wife hired a seamstress to make the bridesmaids dresses. I don't know how this happened other than that she did not check in with the seamstress enough in advance to know that the separates were not even close to being finished! The night before, the wedding party (who can't sew) [tried] to finish the outfits!!! On the day of the wedding, they all had visible safety pins, jagged, un-pressed hems, etc. It did not look bad from a distance or in pictures, but standing next to [them] in person, the things were dreadful.

Bad Omen
My aunt has been married four times. Reception number-four was a backyard barbecue held a few days after a small registry ceremony. As they were dismantling the 3-tier cake to be cut and served, I overheard one of my aunt's friend's comment, "Don't throw those tier riser's away, you'll need them again!" Ouch!

Tacky from Start to Finish
Okay, I almost hate to post this because I don't want to bash someone else's event, but this is the strangest wedding I was ever at. I went to a Wiccan wedding—the ceremony was out in the woods somewhere, and they tried to discourage guests from coming to it... The bride's vows included a line about how the groom "popped her cherry" in high school. OMG!

The first glimpse of the bride in her wedding attire [was] with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth screaming at her new husband, "Where the hell is the keg?"

I also enjoyed the toast—wine was laid out in little cups, like you might put a Jello shot in. The event was BYOB and there was a chicken dish for dinner and only guests who had RSVP'd by a certain date were supposed to have the chicken. Everyone else was not supposed to have any.
